Aldi shook up the wine world a bit when, after two weeks of sipping, tasting, and spitting, a group of wine experts named their Exquisite Collection Cotes de Provence Rose 2016 the best rose under £8 (via Today). It took home medals in other categories, too, and proved a good wine doesn't have to set you back a big chunk of change — only about $9.



The wine is made in France, and it was such a hit in Europe they took it on a global road trip. It's not certain just how long you're going to be able to get this particular wine in the US (and you may find the packaging for the US market looks a little different), but think of this as a foot in the door. It's proof Aldi wines are a legitimate option for special occasions or just with dinner, so pick one up!
